Tunable DBR Laser for the MAP-200 Platform

The Multiple Application Platform (MAP-200) Tunable Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) Laser is a next generation tunable laser ideal for DWDM testing where it is essential to change wavelength on demand over the C- and L- band with 50GHz spacing. It's now available in single-, dual- and quad configuration in single module.

The new DBR Laser is based on a Sampled Grating Distributed Bragg Reflector (SG-DBR) laser with an integral wavelength locker. Wavelength and output power settings are controlled using the MAP-200 local interface or automation interfaces. The integral wavelocker and automatic power control loop provide stable operation.

As with all MAP cassettes, it may be seamlessly integrated with the extensive family of MAP cassettes, which enables complete custom solutions to be rapidly assembled and expanded as needed.
