VIAVI Optimeter

The easy-to-use, intelligent fiber optic tester for certification and fault diagnosis of fiber optic links. The Optimeter is the ideal tester for technicians with little or no experience installing and repairing customer fiber optic installations. With the rapid increase in demand for optical networks, service providers and installers are faced with the significant challenge of installing the required fiber quickly and economically without compromising quality and reliability.

The Optimeter offers all the basic features a fiber optic technician needs in a user-friendly and fast solution. Even newcomers are able to seamlessly verify and certify a fiber route with just one push of a button, in as little as one minute, and with just one fiber connection to ensure smooth installation and activation of services.

With its instant fault diagnosis, the Optimeter ensures seamless certification and activation of the fiber optic connection area ("last mile") to successfully complete installations right the first time and avoid unnecessary handoffs between technicians, fiber optic replacements and repeat deployments. The Optimeter gives the technician peace of mind that the installation and maintenance of the PON/FTTx connection area was complhemselves or whether the relevant service team needs to be notified.
