A laser roller blind is ideal for covering windows in laboratories and manufacturing facilities where Class 3B or 4 lasers are used. Further areas of application are medical practices and operating theaters of hospitals. The laser blind can be supplied in a maximum of 3.50 m width and 3.50 m height. However, the permissible maximum weight of 12 kg must not be exceeded.
Roll material is usually made of the same material as the laser protection curtain 'Orca'. One side is in white, the other in black (i.d.R., the white side is executed to the laser). Optionally, the laser blinds can also be equipped with the material from the laser safety curtain 'Wolf' (single-layer, double-sided dark gray).
The manually operated laser blinds are always supplied with a matching side frame profile. The specified size of a laser blind always refers to the external dimensions (ie including lateral guide rails and roller blind box). The blinds can be operated in two different ways:
Irradiated area |
PEL* (T3) 10 s |
PEL (T2) 100s |

3.9 MW/sqm. |
2.2 MW/sqm. |
2000 mm2 |
0.62 MW/sqm. |
0.35 MW/sqm. |
* PEL = Permissible Exposure Limits
The material protects against laser beams of all wavelengths.

All roller blinds are CE certified according to the standard EN 60825-4 (Safety of laser equipment - Part 4: Laser protection walls).
