in access networks is growing, engineers need comprehensive and lightweight xWDM test tools. VIAVI's OSA-4100 Optical Spectrum Analyzer and OCV-4100 Optical Channel Verifier are designed to facilitate deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting in passive and active CWDM and DWDM fiber optic networks. The optical performance of the module, ensures comprehensive  testing is done right - the first time.

OCV-4100 scans any CWDM or DWDM optical system over the entire wavelength range and automatically records all channels with the ITU-T channel number (ch), wavelength or frequency, offset and the associated power level.

The OSA-4100 also provides per-channel optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) measurement for qualifying amplified links.

Test results can be displayed in a graphical spectrum format or in a results table.
