Splicing technology
Splicing technology is an essential part of network cabling with fiber optics. Fiber optics can be permanently attached with one another with the help of this technology. The smallest possible splice attenuations are specified for the connection of cable routes in buildings as well as in campus areas (LAN), wide areas (WAN), and city network areas (MAN). During the fusion splicing process, the fiber ends are exactly positioned relative to each other (clad or core alignment) and fused together with an arc discharge.
