The Digital Fiber Microscope FBV-P5000i from Viavi (formerly JDSU) is used to evaluate fiber optic connectors directly or through the couplings. The surface analysis already takes place in the digital fiber microscope. This allows the FBP-P5000i to be operated both on the USB interfaces of various Viavi measuring devices (MTS-x000 / HST-3000 / SmartClass) and directly on the PC or notebook.
The free evaluation software FiberChekPRO for the PC with automatic digital centering of the fiber in the center, automatic connector evaluation according to IEC 61300-3-35 or self-adjustable criteria for multimode and singlemode applications is part of the standard scope of delivery Digital Fiber Microscope.
For technicians working on the fiber, it is important to optimize their workflows and verify the quality of their work through objective testing and certified test reports.
The new FiberChekMOBILE application from Viavi facilitates these necessary steps. With just one Android app, a portable device such as a smartphone or a tablet that is used daily becomes an indispensable fiber-optic tester and inspection tool.
